We are committed to providing our patients with the most comprehensive contact lens experience possible.
We now have many specialized lenses and materials that are available.
I am able to fit these specialized cases with soft, gas permeable, and hybrid lenses. The newer lenses allow us to better fit people with dry eyes and problems like astigmatism.
Recently, there have been some additional lens designs for people who require bifocals.
We will evaluate all aspects of the contact lens patient including ocular health, comfort, and vision. Because it is important that we provide you with optimal vision and in order to meet your individual lifestyle demands, it is important to see contact lens patients annually. In fact, a recent Federal law mandates that contact lens prescriptions only be valid for one year.
Initial contact lens fitting will include a comprehensive eye examination. We will evaluate the eye health including a microscopic evaluation of the front of the eye and lids. We will evaluate your health history, including medications and discuss any options that are available to you.
Because we are an independent eye care practice, we can use any contact lens that is available. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Johnson & Johnson (Acuvue)
- Bausch & Lomb
- Synergeyes (Hybrid lenses)
